Supreme Governor Rodney Hammond Visit July 22nd @ 3PM

We invite every member to come out and meet the Supreme Governor for the Loyal Order of Moose Rodney Hammond.

He will be at our lodge on Monday July 22nd at 3 PM.


Rodney A. Hammond serves as the Supreme Governor for the Loyal Order of Moose.
He was elected to this office in July, 2019 at the 131
st International Convention in Las Vegas,
Nevada. Prior to this post, he served as the Supreme Jr. Governor (2018-2019); Supreme
Prelate (2017-2018), after having served on the Supreme Council since 2011. He had
previously served on the Moosehaven Board of Directors for one year. Rodney retired from
the Moose International Membership Department in 2010, after serving as Regional Manager
for Florida and Bermuda for over ten years.
Rodney joined Kissimmee, Florida Lodge 2056 as a charter member in 1978, was
named Administrator in 1981 and served 20 years in that position, helping to build
Kissimmee 2056 into one of the fraternity’s leading Lodges. He received Honorary Past
Governor distinction in 1989.
Rodney joined Indian River (FL) Moose Legion 178 in 1982 and served as Secretary
from 1993 to 1995. He is a Life Member in both his Lodge and Moose Legion, and a
member of the 450 Division of the Moose 25 Club. He has earned the Moose Legion Elite
Member Ring by sponsoring over 150 members into the Degree of Service.
He served the Florida Bermuda Moose Association in numerous capacities and
received a conferral as Past President in 2001. He was especially helpful to other Lodges in
providing guidance for management and record keeping. He also served as Deputy Supreme
Governor representing the Florida-Bermuda Moose Association in 1996-1997.
The Fellowship Degree of Honor was conferred upon Rodney in 1983 and he
received the Pilgrim Degree of Merit in 1991.
Rodney also has affiliations with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the
Fraternal Order of Eagles and Theta Chi Fraternity. He enjoys cards, golf, pool and following
Florida Gators sports.
Born in Brooksville, Florida, Rodney earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business
Management from the University of Florida. He resides in Kissimmee, Florida where he
spends time with his family of two sons, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
