Our Senior Regent Letter for November December

Dear Members,

We are fast approaching the most festive and busiest time of the year. The chapter and lodge are happy to be collecting holiday foods for Angels Sharing the Warmth. This is a local non-profit that helps feed people facing food insecurity in our area. You can help make the holidays brighter for local families by donating any of the following non-perishable foods: Canned vegetables – corn, green beans, yams, cranberry sauce, gravy, cream of mushroom soup, crunchy French-fried onions, stuffing mix, instant mashed potatoes, cookie, cake or muffin mixes, disposable turkey pans. Frozen turkeys are also needed for Thanksgiving and ham or turkey for Christmas. We will gladly accept your store certificate to redeem a turkey if you won’t be using it.  We collect donations year- round for Pennridge Fish and Keystone Opportunities. Thank you for helping us feed our community.

Our annual WOTM Banquet will be held on Sunday, November 17th at 1:00 PM in the Lodge Banquet Hall. We hope you can join us as we honor our members for their years of service and enjoy a luncheon and fellowship. Cost is $10 for WOTM members and $15 for any female lodge member who would like to attend. Payment can be made on the day of the event. Includes one bar drink, lunch and dessert. RSVP by 11/5 – call the lodge & leave a message for Ida. (215)257-9943.

Our last meeting of the year will be on Monday, December 9th. Please bring a gift to exchange at our party immediately following the meeting. Lots of fun as gifts are opened and stolen and stolen again. You’ll eventually leave with something good!

The Christmas Bake Sale will be held on Friday, December 20th at 5:00 PM in the dining room.  The traditional Lodge Sing-along will follow later that evening. Always a fun and festive night to celebrate together. We will be scheduling a clothing drive early next year. The Children’s Christmas Party is on Sunday, December 15th. Candy donations would be greatly appreciated by December 10th.

Thank you for your continued support of our fundraising efforts that help us support Mooseheart, Moosehaven and our local community. Wishing you and your family a happy, healthy and festive holiday season.

Fraternally,

Ida Erney
Senior Regent
