Our chapter is on the brink of closing due to lack of participation.
Sellersville Chapter 471 has been in service for 105 years, having been officially instituted on November 30, 1920.
Dear Sisters of Chapter 471,
Our chapter is the heart of the Sellersville Moose Family Center #1539, providing critical support to Mooseheart, Moosehaven, and our local Sellersville community. To continue this vital work, we need members like you to step into leadership roles.
We are currently seeking candidates for our Board of Officers and Committee Chairmen. Whether you are a long-time member or looking to get more involved, serving as an officer is a rewarding way to ensure our chapter remains active and healthy.
Why Run for Office?
- Support Our Mission: Help lead fundraisers for the children at Mooseheart and seniors at Moosehaven.
- Grow Personally: Gain leadership experience and work toward personal honors like the Academy of Friendship, College of Regents or Star degrees.
- Community Impact: Help coordinate events like local community service projects and seasonal parties.
- Build Friendships: gather, celebrate, and experience membership with women of shared interests, common purpose and positive perspectives.
Open Positions Include:
- Senior Regent: Presides over meetings and oversees chapter operations.
- Treasurer: Manages chapter documentation, membership records and finances.
- Secretary: Records meeting minutes, reads correspondence and verifies deposit slips.
- Committee Chairmen: Plans fundraisers/events and promotes specific areas of interest such as Membership, Fraternal Activities, Mooseheart/Moosehaven or Higher Degrees.

If you are interested in serving for the upcoming term or have any questions, please email Ida Erney at Idaerney@gmail.com or stop at the lodge. You can find nomination forms on the chapter board in the Social Quarters or speak with any current officer during our regular meetings on the 2nd Mondays of the month at 7:00 PM.
How to Apply (if you aren’t a member of the Chapter yet):
BeAMoose.org or remit a completed and signed membership application to the Chapter. Applications can also be accepted in the Social Quarters and will be forwarded to the Chapter for processing.
